Following the dramatic transformation of a former grocery store into a new center of activity in the street-car suburb of Shaker Heights, Horton Harper worked with three prominent Cleveland-area businesses; Banter, Rising Star Coffee, and Spice for Life, to create unique tenant spaces within the Van Aken Market Hall. Each buildout is based on the masterplan document that specified 10'x10' modules with a steel structure to visually organize and unify the overall design of the expansive space. While individual businesses maintained the option to work within a single module or bundle them together for a larger footprint, each valued expressing their existing branding, creating a highly functional space for employees, and utilizing skilled local craftsman to buildout the highly interactive customer-side elements.
